Ep. 006: Odd Muse takes over graduation season with their it-girl dresses

If you haven’t spotted the iconic dresses by the London based brand, I hope the rock you’ve been living under was at least nicely furnished. But it’s time to crawl on out and slip into one of Odd Muse’s pieces.

Self branded as an “investment fashion” company, each Odd Muse design feels carefully thought out, from its unique, structured silhouette to its soft summer staples palette. Odd Muse was born just four years ago and already has a cult following on TikTok, as girls around the globe amass to find the perfect, it-girl graduation dress. It-girl Molly Mae has also been recently spotted in an Odd Muse piece!

Anyone can see these dresses are immaculate, but why do they get the it-girl status? As someone who very recently graduated, the dress is everything. (yes, we know you can’t really see it under the gown. No, we don’t care.)

For one thing, graduation is so. difficult. to. dress. for.

My search history looks something like this:

Pretty midi/mini dresses…more formal…less business attire…more fun…less sexy…

No more results. Enter Odd Muse.

I honestly believe you could dress these pieces to pretty much any occasion. They are, as correctly prescribed, investment pieces.

Not only is it difficult to find the right dress for you, it is also difficult to find the right dress for the planet. If I’m going to wear an outfit, I’d like to know I’ve at least tried to be somewhat sustainable and ethical (a feat that is incredibly difficult in today’s fast fashion world). Odd Muse is a woman owned business, with its own little pink shop in Covent Garden (how chic!), and prioritises slow fashion as a luxury brand. What more could you want?

Most importantly, the simplistic style is incredibly flattering, and allows the girl to shine from within the dress.

We all have owned that one dress which is objectively stunning, yes, but seems to outshine us when we wear it. Graduation is the one day of our lives which is entirely about celebrating our academic skills and achievements. The Odd Muse pieces allow the wearer to do this, whilst also maintaining its own visual glory.

So if you still have your graduation to come and want to achieve it-girl status, why not treat yourself to an Odd Muse dress, before everyone else does?

xoxo,
